I have elected to close the ETD submissions form as of June 13, 1999. The reasons are several. First, I will be starting a new job at the University of Kentucky later this summer (faculty position in humanities research computing), and will not have much time to process new submissions. Second, my sense is that there may now be quite a few ETDs underway that are not represented in the ETD Directory, and so its claims to comprehensiveness are no longer valid -- at this point I think the Directory is most useful as a historical document, offering a snapshot of ETD development in the humanities from 1996 through 1999.

I may still update other pages on this site from time to time. Also, look for the ETD Sourcebook, a printed volume edited by Joseph Moxley, Christian Weisser, and Edward Fox, forthcoming in late 1999 (Scarecrow Press).
