They shot at them.

they said to one another.

They sabred them.
They went between the white men [and their fellows].

"My uncle! What has he done to you that you sabre him!"

they said to them.

And one of them spoke thus:

"Friends, run away! Nothing can stop them!"

he said to them.
Then some of them ran away.
