Susan Fenimore Cooper, the daughter of James Fenimore Cooper, resided in Cooperstown, New York. She wrote a number of rural sketches. Her works include Rural Hours; Country Rambles; Rhyme and Reason; Country Life; and The Shield, a Narrative.
