Dr James Minor

     Dear Sir by these
you may be inform that I am
quite unwell and has been so
for some time so I have not been
able to do a days work for one
year so you may know that
I am now in a bad State.
All of my complaint are mostly
in my Back & Side and Breast. It
appears that no Doctors Can do me
any good or they has done me no
good as yet. So I suffers a good
deal -- -- I do hope these may find
you & all of the family are
Enjoying good health.

      Mr Minor,
I Now send you a list of all
the things that I has received
from you since I arrive to
Liberia: 3 Bolts of cloth, 3 pair of
shoes and 1 pair of boots, no
Provision. This is the first time.
The second time 3 bolts of Cloth
one pair of shoes, one broad axe,
one pole axe, one Pocket Knife --

the 3 times that the Ship Came
over we received 2 pieces for the
whole family so I got 12 yards. For my part I do not think
that I has got my part though you
will do what is right I am a
thinking. So you will be so
kind as to send me all or
what are coming to me this time
and when you send me my things
please to send them so I can get
them by themself.
Please to send me a piece of
Blue Flannel & one of red,
one piece of White cotton,
2 pair of Shoes and thread
and buttons, one gun, one keg of
fine powder and one Bag of large
buck shots, 2 hoes and one axe and
one Pite saw, one Box of tobacco
and As I have been so Sick and can't
work to get anything. You will
also send me a Barrel of
mess pork and fish.
Please to send me a piece Kentucky
Jeans. Granvil are living with
me and James Hunter Coleman also
are living with me. They have never
got anything as yet.
Send my love to my wife. I will write
her sure the next time & Yours
