RUN away from the subscriber at Staunton, in Augusta county, Virginia, a convict man named Edward Billingham, born in the north of England, and speaks like a Scotchman, or those born on the borders, about 5 feet 2 inches high, thick made, has a blemish on one of his eyes, down look, dark coloured hair, about 30 years old, is a chimney sweeper and labourer, and makes but an ordinary appearance; had on when he went away a light coloured broadcloth half worn coat, a dark coloured jacket with a white stripe down the back, an old hat, coarse shirt and trousers, and old shoes. Whoever takes up and secures said servant, so that I get him again, shall have 20 s. reward, if taken in this county, and if taken in any other county or colony 40s, besides what the law allows.
