1/ That no pond shall be formed or water impounded in
the State of Virginia, except in the Counties of--------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------,
until after license given therefor by the State Board of Health of
Virginia: certifying that said pond as formed will conform to the
specifications made by said Board for the prevention of malaria from
the pond or impounded water aforesaid. 2/ That the State Board of Health of Virginia shall have
the oversight and control of all ponds and impounded waters in the
State of Virginia in all things affecting the public health and that
it shall be the duty of said Board of Health to enforce, and said
Board is hereby authorized to enforce, all such measures as may be
necessary (or "as it may judge necessary") in the management of said
ponds and impounded waters to prevent the production of malaria from
the same. 3/ Penalty clause. 4/ Clause repealing acts contravening this act. |
