Bond for Hiring Fleming
9 February 1821

[9 February 1821]

    I Arthur S Brockenbrough proctor of the University Va do promise to pay Joseph Brand thirty five dollars on or before the 1st day of January next for the hire of boy called Fleming for the use of the University Va this present year the said Boy to b e well clothed & returned to said Brand at the end of the year unavoidable accidents excepted Witness my hand & Seal this 9th February 1821 --
