Richmond 11th. April 1821
Dear Sir

    I have the management of a rope walk in this place, and window sash cord being one of the articles in that line, I take the liberty of enquiring of you if a quantity will not be required at the buildings you are conducting at the University? If there should be, I shall be glad to furnish it. I send a sample by Banks. it is made of the best Russian hemp, & can be made of any size & in any quantities upon short notice. I am Very respectfy Yr Obt. St.
