Letter from Charles N. Tenney to Adelaide E. Case

Charlie write to Addie from Harper's Ferry, Va. He was very happy about Hal's promotion and talked about the temporary replacement by Seth Coon to be his partner. He and several partners built a log house for themselves because there was little space for new recruits. He went through lengthy details explaining his delay to respond to two letters from her. He also told her why General Rope was defeated. And what he expects a wife to do in the matter of housekeeping. The postscript told Addie that they might stay put for the winter.
