The furious goonne

The louer compareth his hart to the ouercharged gonne.

2.37.1: The furious goonne, in his most ragyng yre,
2.37.2: When that the boule is rammed in to sore:
2.37.3: And that the flame cannot part from the fire,
2.37.4: Crackes in sunder: and in the ayer doe rore
2.37.5: The sheuered peces. So doth my desyre,
2.37.6: Whose flame encreaseth ay from more to more.
2.37.7: Which to let out, I dare not loke, nor speake:
2.37.8: So inward force my hart doth all to breake.
