The Ingram-Poe Collection consists of letters and other manuscripts, photographs, printed matter and biographical source materials concerning Edgar Allan Poe and assembled by John Henry Ingram, editor, biographer and collector of Poe material. The collection is located in the Special Collections Department at the University of Virginia Library and is available for research. What is the Associates of the University of Virginia Library?
University alumnus and noted American literature collector, Clifton Waller Barrett organized the Associates of the University of Virginia Library in 1969 to support the Library's rare book and manuscript collections. As the need for private funding has become more critical, the Associates have broadened their scope to support collections and services throughout the University Library system with annual gifts and volunteer activities. The Associates sponsor several events throughout the year to showcase the collections of the Library.
